For close to four decades, the R. N. Shetty Trust has done in education what its founder did in engineering — build things meant to outlast their builders. What began as a single polytechnic in Murudeshwar in 1987 is today a group of thirteen institutions across Bengaluru and coastal Karnataka: schools, pre-university and degree colleges, nursing, architecture, engineering and management, teaching more than 10,000 students every year. 170 ACRES THAT DON’T / EMPTY OUT AT 4 PM
Labs that stay open past class hours. A library with room to actually sit. Hostels, a health centre, a hospital, grounds for cricket, football and athletics, an auditorium that has hosted everything from IEEE conferences to a fashion show, and twenty student clubs run entirely by students. The campus is the reason people stay back on Saturdays.
